Meet Mona, a multi-talented individual with a passion for music and a rich background in business leadership. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Psychology from UC Irvine, Mona followed a unique path that seamlessly integrates their academic expertise with their love for music.
As the visionary owner of Mona Rose Studios, Mona has created a haven for musical exploration and creativity. With over 15 years of teaching experience under their belt, she imparts her extensive knowledge gained from a music conservatory education in California. This intensive training laid the foundation for her to blossom into a seasoned professional and pianist, capable of not only crafting captivating melodies but also arranging intricate sheet music.
Mona collaborates with artists from around the world, transcending geographical boundaries to create music that resonates globally. Her prowess isn’t limited to collaborations; Mona is a gifted composer, weaving original compositions that reflect a deep understanding of the harmonious interplay of sounds. From an early age, she discovered the joy of nurturing young musical talents and witnessing their growth. With a lifelong love for music, Mona Rose has dedicated the past 15 years to teaching piano and sharing her passion with students of all ages. With a degree in Cognitive Psychology from UC Irvine, Mona combines her understanding of the mind with her musical expertise to create an engaging learning environment. She spent her childhood competing in Certificate of Merit, Piano for the state of California, and today, she enjoys teaching students a wide range of music, from classical compositions to arranging and teaching modern, contemporary tunes.
Born and raised in The Netherlands, Steven brings a unique blend of classical piano training and music production expertise, particularly in EDM. With a degree in Marketing and Communications from Han University of Nijmegen, Steven’s background has greatly enhanced his ability to teach both piano and music production. His education allows him to connect with students from diverse cultures and backgrounds, drawing inspiration from over a decade of international travel. Steven focuses on ensuring students grasp the fundamentals of music theory while having fun and exploring new sounds.
Blake is a multi-talented musician with a degree in Music from Northeastern University. As the leader of a world-renowned A Cappella group, The Nor'easters, Blake performed across the globe, from Hong Kong to London, and even the White House. His teaching approach goes beyond traditional methods, focusing on chord progressions, improvisation, and composition. Students of Blake are encouraged to push boundaries and grow in their musical development.
Jiaqi holds a Ph.D. in Piano Performance from the prestigious Juilliard School and is known for his highly structured approach to teaching. As our most detail-oriented instructor, Jiaqi is dedicated to the long-term growth of his students, ensuring they perform music with precision as it was originally intended. He goes beyond just teaching the notes, taking students on a journey through the history of the piece, its background, and the story behind the music, helping them bring the composition to life with every performance.
Camille’s background in musical theater spans the coasts of America, from performing in New York City’s Broadway lights to teaching at top music academies. With a passion for bringing lyrics to life, Camille’s students develop their vocal range and stage presence, helping them find a voice beyond their imagination. Teaching comes naturally to Camille, as she sees it as an opportunity to fulfill her passion every single day, making it a deeply rewarding and integral part of her life.
With over 10 years of piano study, Jacey transitioned into the instructor role, bringing a youthful spirit and patience to her teaching. Trained under Mona Rose, she combines traditional methods with fun, creative programs to keep her students engaged. Currently a pre-med student at UC Irvine, Jacey's warm and encouraging approach makes her a favorite among younger students, and she fosters a positive learning environment where each student feels supported and motivated to grow.
Lele is a well-known performer across the coastal cities of California and a lifelong musician with the unique ability to inspire students who aspire to be performers. She doesn’t just teach the instruments; she prepares her students to perform at a level expected on stage one day. Lele’s hard work, dedication, and free-spirited, loving energy make her an incredible instructor for those ready to push beyond their comfort zones and truly grow as musicians.
